Agriculture is bound to environment, since agricultural activity depends on natural resources and it is subject to weather conditions/climate change. The Agriculture and Environment group aims to conduct research that contributes to the understanding of interactions between agricultural practices and the use of natural resources, also dedicated to topics related to agriculture and the use of natural resources in other production areas. It is understood that due to the strong relationship between environment and agriculture, it is important to evaluate agricultural sector policies, and look for techniques that avoid detrimental land use changes, the atmosphere, the biodiversity of the regions, the fauna and the flora, and that contribute to the expansion and efficiency of the agricultural sector.
