Social Welfare
The Social Welfare group develops studies focused on the main social problems in Brazil and in the world, in order to understand how the main impasses to a fairer and egalitarian society affect individuals of different characteristics. The economic development of a country is not only related to production, consumption and exports but also to the people’s well-being, so by building an analytical perspective of what are the main challenges of current public policies and testing hypotheses as to their application, The study group seeks to promote awareness of the importance of individual well-being in society from an economic point of view. Periodically, members meet to discuss the latest and most relevant social welfare issues and promote scientific impact through article presentations and debates.
